If tips are indeed allowed, can you accept them in the form of actual cash and pocket them or do they need to be done through the app itself? I am a bit confused on the process. I am talking in regards to Uber. I am not a driving but looking into becoming one so I don't know much about this.
Yes, cash tips are just fine but most will tip using the app.
It would be impossible for Uber or Lyft to enforce a no cash tips policy anyway so they don't even try.
Yeah 100% of the tip is yours to keep as well. Like mentioned, neither company would be able to put a stop to it. People can easily give cash tips and they'd have no idea.
Absolutely yes! It's just a tip and not more. C'mon, grab it and have extra catch in your pocket to buy yourself a bottle if drink when you close for the day.
Yup! I tend to prefer cash tips because there is no waiting period. I have a tip jar in center console that is locked in place so people can toss there money in there without me needing to touch it.
