Driving a criminal

I thought I would share a story.

Not too long ago I was scheduled to pick a man up at the airport. I arrived and he hopped in. Was very quiet and looked to be nervous. I figured he was just tired and had a lot on his mind. He ended up changing where he wanted to go twice during the ride and I was honestly confused but just kept to myself. When we were nearing his stop, a few police cars cornered me in, one in front of my car and one behind. I thought I had did something but I couldn't figure it out. The man started cussing under his breath and told me I had one job, yelling it at me. The cops removed him from my car and arrested him. They couldn't give me the details but told me he was a wanted man in Michigan. I was freaked out for a few weeks after that. I still don't know what he did or what he was wanted for but it scared me big time!

Wow! Good thing he didn't hurt you or anything like that. I heard stories of people assisting robberies without knowing it before but this was with cab companies, not Uber or Lyft. Still though, scary situation to be in.

Seriously? I'm he didn't hurt. I never drove any criminal anyway. Well, I always observe my passengers before i agree to drive them. If i don't feel comfortable driving you, I will instantly decline.

Yeah I do the same, if someone seems weird these days I will decline and let someone else handle it. I am not risking my life for this kind of money, it just is not worth it. Glad you made it out safe!

They should screen people for rides. It just isn't safe in this world. My friend picked up someone who was wanted once but not for something like this. He had taken his wife's car and drove it into a massive pond. He told me all about it so I called the cops after I dropped him off. lol

I agree about screening people. It seems strange that they just allow anyone and everyone to use the app. If someone is a wanted criminal, you would think that the app would at least notify the police.
